Institute of Micro & Special Motor and Control
The Institute of Micro & Special Motor and Control, Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT), was founded in December 2003. Formerly known as Micro & Special Motor Lab of HIT, the institute is the only research institute in Chinese universities dedicated to teaching and research of micro & special motor control. The institute support researches within the scope of electrical motor, a discipline of HIT rated as a national key discipline, a national defense key discipline and a key discipline of Heilongjiang Province. The Institute has been committed to researches addressing scientific and technological problems related to micro & special motor and control, and has been serving the defense and aerospace industry. In recent years, the Institute has undertaken over 120 scientific research projects, including 16 national and ministerial projects, more than 80 projects related to national defense and aerospace. The Institute has achieved 7 national prizes, 25 provincial and ministerial prizes, and over 300 publications in journals. The Institute has 8 teachers out of a total of 17 members. The staff is characterized by the combination of the senior and young academics with rich experience, comprehensive expertise and the courage to innovate.
